Roxio's do-everything media suite gains powerful 3D features in this latest version
Roxio Creator 2011 is a mammoth media suite that comes packed with disc burning, media editing, video, audio and photo-related functionality. The Pro version adds 5 additional powerful applications, plus full Blu-ray support.
There are tools for burning audio discs, data CDs and DVDs, or working with disc images, for instance. Roxio's video editor now includes video stabilisation, to compensate for shaky camera work. You're able to burn attractive video DVDs, with a host of new attractive themed menus, while an easy-to-use image editor can fix problems in an entire folder of photos, almost entirely automatically.
This version of Roxio Creator gains strong support for 3D. It can quickly convert 2D images and movies to 3D versions in a variety of formats. If you already have 3D movies in, say, NVIDIA's 3D Vision format then you're able to edit them here. And you can even create 3D DVDs to share with your friends (though they'll need at least those cardboard red/cyan glasses to view them).
And there are so many more features, everywhere you look: modules to digitize your old vinyl albums or tapes; easily edit and clean up audio files; convert your videos into formats that you can play on portable devices like the iPhone, iPod or BlackBerry; create panoramas or photo slideshows; capture streaming audio or video; even share your media collection across the internet, so (for instance) you can access your music files from almost anywhere in the world.
This is Roxio Creator 2011 Pro. Pro builds on Creator's extensive capabilities with these five digital media must-haves: High-def Blu-ray Disc Plug-in for Blu-ray video authoring; SonicFire Pro custom soundtrack creation; SoundSoap SE audio noise reduction; BackOnTrack 4 disaster recovery and Roxio Secure Burn for drag & drop disc burning with encryption and password protection.
